Frequently Asked Questions
Is PASS free of charge?
Use of the PASS database is free of charge for performers and crew. PASS does not receive any money from the sale of tests by our testing partners.
Can I change my password?
No. All passwords are generated automatically due to the secure nature of the database. If you have forgotten your password, another one can be generated through the 'forgot your password' link on the log-in page.
What if I am talent or crew but not registered on the PASS database? Can I just show a producer a test from any testing facility?
The purpose of the PASS database is to provide verification of talent and crew’s work availability, so by participating in PASS you are showing that your records are up-to-date and that you have chosen a participating testing facility. Major adult producers have agreed to use this system in order to comply with industry standards for testing, confirm that the tests performers bring with them have not been tampered with, and for the protection of performers and crew in the event of a health safety incident. Eventually, the website also will offer health safety education for members.
Does the database contain my medical records?
No. The database contains only information needed to verify talent or crews’ availability, which is updated when you are tested at a PASS partner testing facility. If you need to obtain a copy of your medical records, you should be able to do so by contacting the testing facility.
What kind of tests does PASS recommend testing facilities to use?
Testing facilities screen patients for HIV using an HIV-1 RNA Qualitative or Quantitative Assay, as well as a 4th Generation antibody/antigen test. Other tests on a full performers’ panel also include chlamydia, gonorrhea, hepatitis B + C, trichomoniasis, and syphilis.
